Yoga was introduced by the Indus-Sarasvati civilization over 5,000 years ago. The sanctified text Rig Veda first mentioned Yoga. According to the Goraksha Samhita, Yoga is a complex process — there are 84 Asanas or postures, with 8,400,000 variations of those asanas. For your convenience, Pure Soul Yoga School has broken Yoga down into simpler forms.

Pure Soul Yoga School reaches people worldwide with the ancient and sacred knowledge of Yoga. We help you gain confidence and achieve peace and salvation. Our training courses help you circulate your knowledge, gain a greater understanding of your body and mind, and love your environment.
As our name suggests, we are a genuine soul who wants to teach yoga for union. The literal meaning of yoga is “union” — and Pure Soul's aim is to unite the world through yoga. Human beings are diversified by various elements; yoga, a true blessing to humanity, unites everyone. Students from all over the world visit Pure Soul and learn yoga together.
Spreading good health — “Health is wealth.” Our first and most important objective is to spread good health to all. Everything we earn is wasted until our health is fine. Through the practice of yoga, Pure Soul helps human beings improve their health.
The art of living — We live in a world where anxiety, depression and negativity are commonly seen. Pure Soul teaches you to stop, think and react. We teach our students to live happily and prepare them to be emotionally strong.
At the centre of our offering is the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course — the foundation of a lifelong yogic journey, and for many of our students, the doorway into a teaching career.
Our Vision
Pure Soul Yoga School provides its students with advanced yoga teacher training certification. As a school registered with Yoga Alliance USA (RYS 200, RYS 300, RYS 500, RCYS & RPYS), our certificate is an internationally recognised credential that lets you teach yoga with confidence worldwide.
Nothing is as beneficial as learning yoga in Rishikesh — also known as yogpeeth, the backbone of yoga. Rishikesh carries the vibe of yoga and is free from the toxicity of city life. And if a tropical or Himalayan retreat setting calls you instead, the same curriculum and teachers are available at our Bali, Goa, Kerala and Nepal centres.
Confidence in teaching is the biggest obstacle in the journey of new teachers. Our yoga teacher training teaches you how to teach, and by the end of your course you will feel ready to share tremendous knowledge with the world.
Pure Soul provides an advanced level of understanding of yogic life and practice — asanas, mantras, pranayamas and philosophies. This deepens your self-practice through modifications of different asanas, building self-confidence along the way.
